I had 8 days off from work and my Mom gets standby flight (the leftover empty seats are given to employees for cheap) benefits with her job making this entire trip under $1.1k with the flights and renting the car. I could have done it cheaper if I booked things a day or two in advance and was over 25 for the rental car. I planned it a week before I left and was booking and planning most things day by day which I've never done before but it worked out really well. Driving is super stressful but so worth it if you are considering it (and a very experienced driver). Let me know what you think of this vlog!
